Sasha finds inspiration in uncovering unexpected stories in seemingly ordinary places. She has a talent for capturing the beauty and truth of the human experience on film and has done so professionally in the advertising realm, the narrative realm and the space where they intertwine.
Sasha’s directorial point-of-view is inspired by the Cinéma-Vérité movement of the 1960s. For her, filmmaking is a fascinating process of discovery where the most interesting characters, situations and places become story. Recent projects include a short film for the Dalai Lama, titled, Force For Good, as well as advertising content for some of the world’s biggest brands.
Sasha wrote and directed, 'Welcome to Grandville', a captivating TV series pilot and groundbreaking interactive film about three generations of women struggling to heal in the wreckage of suicide. The beautifully filmed project is currently in post-production.
Sasha spends her time with her family between New York City and Columbus, Ohio while accumulating air miles for more travel with her family and even more miles. A never ending cycle of miles addiction.
